Ready? Get set! STOP! O.O -- hmm... nice title for today's post? Haha. I have nothing better to do (though I am supposed to mug SS for tomorrow's timed practice). Oh wells.
Basically, I can say that today's the saddest day of all this week. Maybe it is due to Monday blues, but trust me, it is not. Haiish. I got back most of my CT results and guess what. Tonnes of Cs, and Bs, only 1 pathetic PATHETIC A1!!! =(( My performance in Geog really let me down, and I... ok. too embarrassing to say this out. Hmph. I shan't reveal my results here, but I really died. Sigh. Holidays don't feel like holidays le, it sounds more like a torture to me.
I think I really deserved what I got for my CT2 this time round (my money!) as I did not work hard enough. This brings me to the topic Sean was talking about in my mailbox. He said "Focus learning".. I think I am doing "Diffused learning" instead of the "focus learning" since I do stare at my computer screen at times when I am working in front of my computer. In school, I tried to put in 100% concentration, but couldn't. =( My mind wanders somewhere else. Goodness me. x( EOYs is about, or even LESS THAN 1, ONE MONTH AWAY FROM NOW!!! Time flies really.
I could see some Sec 2s mugging real hard to get the 'triple sciences' title. Well, what I must say that it is good to have a goal, but trust me, don't burn yourself out. I mean yes seriously. I have already burned myself out and yeah, I am actually erm... "receding", in a sense that I cannot go further anymore. Perhaps it is environment changes, as in drastically, and I am still not used to Sec 3 life. How I wish I am in Sec 2 now, and I have one more year to prepare myself mentally for the upcoming torture. Sigh, but when time passes, you can never have it back. They just form part of your memories... So yeah, to all lower sec pupils. Don't mug too hard, enjoy life at the same time.
And yes, Damian, you are right. I will never forget what you said to me when I was a Sec 1 in Bus 180 to Boon Lay Interchange. Thank you so much for all of your advice and stuffs. =D
Guess I really need somewhere proper to cry my heart out. ='(( I can't cry in classrooms after school because the auntie will see me crying. =( I can't cry in the toilet too, because I am afraid of _______. xO I can't cry at home because I have a computer in front of me. =( I can't cry after everyone has left the school, which is like 6.30pm, because the uncle will chase me away. Looks like I can only cry during exam periods when the school's void of people but I will be wasting my precious time crying. Haiz. So where can I cry? :'(
Life is sooooo stressful noow... I just feel like dying... I am slow, I am useless, I am a good-for-nothing...

It's been a long time since I blogged, but I'm going to keep this post short since I have other things to do too. Hmm.... Let's talk about the recent Astronomy Event at SAM. =)
Morning:
Everyone assembled at 0900 in the morning and I was just on time, almost late, well. Everyone was waiting there. I was quite surprised, well, to see my 27 students shrink to just 7 students, with 4 or 5 Sec 1s, 1 Sec 2 and 2 Sec 3. Well.... Silas was in his professional clothings, and apparantly, his definition of smart casual is too HIGH. He was wearing "FORMAL" that day. Except without his tie. lol. He was like lamenting about his wear and how he was "outstanding". LOL LOL LOL. xD I was in capri pants (for those who learn Homec) and a T-shirt plus sandals. =D Quite casual lah. ^^ Off we went to City Hall.
City Hall:
The place where I malu-ed myself. I learnt another from the malu-session. That is. I don't work under pressure. Basically, we were running out of time and Silas was getting agitated, and thus I couldn't read the street directory properly, resutling in Silas having to read it, and lol, he passed. We walked there, at high speed, passing CHIJMES, crossing a traffic light and it was SAM. Silas was perspiring hot and he said, "I'm so not going to do this again." lol. :P Who asked him to wear long pants and long sleeves? XD It was blazing hot. hahas. I was so paiseh lorhs. First time I failed to read a S.D. =(
SAM:
Many people were there, with the centre of the Glass Hall "decorated" with telescopes, from small ones to big ones, like a Dobsonian, 15" , with f/4.8. Cassegrains were common as well as Newtonian reflectors and refractors. =D Quite a number of telescopes on display. There were posters pasted on boards all over the place, showing galaxies, nebulae, Jupiter's atmosphere, Moon surface, etc, with most of the photos by Remus Chua. =D Haha. Quite nice, especially on glossy photo paper. Hehe. We saw Rong'En there, and Lina, our seniors. Rong'En is so different now as compared to the time when I met him in Sec 1, when Mdm Quek introduced him to me. lols. x) Never mind. Remus started off with his lecture on the types of telescopes and then he went on to astrophotography, a short-introduction on it. It was quite technical, but I don't blame him. They are computer softwares. Haha. x)
Lunch:
We followed the seniors to have lunch at Raffles City Mall. We ate Burger King and it was nice? (All fast-food restaurants sell good food, I thought.) lol. Honestly, it was my first time eating B.K. Yes, my first time, in my entire 15 years of my life. First time @ B.K. Hahas. Perhaps I shall try out Subways next time. ^^ Rong'En asked me a few questions, which I found it hard to answer. He sounded more like reprimanding me. lols, ><. Haiz. Maybe next time I shall suddenly call him 'kor kor' and see how he react. lols. x)
SAM (back to lectures):
Had our stomachs filled and we proceeded back to SAM for Dr Phil Chan's lecture on astrophysics. Honestly speaking, he should have some equations in his ppt, though not overwhelming to spice up his lectures. Hahas. :) He had some astro stimulations, one which I found to be highly interesting. Here it goes:
He had an astro stimulation on a ball trying to escape Earth's gravity. He slid the meter to control g. At 10, the ball went up and fell. Dr Chan, "Oops, cannot escape." He slid the meter up some more, and it was 11.2. Dr Chan, "This time round, it should be able to escape g." The ball went up and up and slowly fell down again. lols. Dr Chan, "Eh? Still cannot ah." He slid the meter to 11.3 or 11.4, *press Shoot* The ball went up..UP...UP and.... DISAPPEARED!
*ON THE SCREEN*
YOU'VE LOST YOUR BALL.Audience *HAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA* LOL lah! The words were like written BIG BIG on the projection screen. Everyone burst out into LAUGHTER! Dr Chan was like diao. (He had to maintain his professional looks.)
Another highlight of the lectures was Mr Andrew Soh's lecture on the Aug 1 solar eclipse. Hehe. Mr Soh was particularly funny and with the huge laughter of his colleagues at the back, the whole audience was like laughing so HARD. xD So exciting!!! He carried out his presentation in the utmost funny way and he brought out the "Singaporean" in his lectures. xD HAHA! ^^ I simply loved his lectures. =D
4.00pm:
All the juniors left and Silas too, so for BP was left with Cheng Wee and me. We listened to a lecture on meteors by a veteran astronomer I think. I was amazed that he took a video camera and just shoot videos overnight, hoping to catch some meteors in the skies. Wow. =) Soon, after his videos and presentation, it was 5.00pm. Cheng Wee and I had to go, so we left hastily. On the way out, I saw Stacey and one other girl from RGS in their own clothes, but I was such in a rush that I collided with a girl. I was like shocked. I couldn't see her, and luckily she didn't fall or else I kena already. XD Ai yoh, she was like
横冲直撞 lor. Very pain sehs. >< Human-to-human collision. =(
Well, I was quite exhausted as we went to the City Hall MRT Stn. Went home and mugged hard for AM and Bio plus complete some work for other classes. Oh wells. I haven't got my homework done, and I'm blogging. lols. I can't resist not blogging. x) Ok, off to do homework! Bye! =)

Wh00ts! Singapore managed to get a hold of the silver medal in the Summer Olympic Games this year! =D Congratulations! ^^ Haha.
I shall update CT2 reviews after the whole CT has ended. Ups and downs is a definite yes. Perhaps, I am gonna fail English. =( Haiish.

Ah. Finally, I am able to take some time out of my life to blog. =) Common Test 2 is coming, but I don't think I will be studying that hard this time round, 'cos I will have to conserve 'energy' as well as to test out a new beta system that I have been hooked on for like 2 months. Basically, yesterday was National Day. I don't understand why MM Lee doesn't smile. He looks very strict. xO (Hopes I ain't violating him by saying this). The speedboats were fantastic as they made two numbers "08" on the water itself. It was spectacular. I was watching the parade from my computer, though not as clear as the TV. haha. The parade commander is so loud. >.< There were sergeants and corporals, some in white, while others in green, some carried flags, while some carried rifles. The 'live' firing was nice, but I was wondering... won't their shoulder bones feel the pain from the recoil? O.o lol. Really specialists. x) There were two jet planes making a love shape in the air, and I was amazed that the aircrafts could go so close to each other and not crash. lols. I think that's all for the National Day Parade.
Now, let's roll 3 days back. (How I wish I could re-live that day again.. haha) It was the choir's public performance again, now at the CCKCC, in front of thousands of people. Quite exciting and also a little scary. Imagine performing in front of so many MPs. lol.
Well, before the concert, we had our ND celebrations in school, together with singing of the ND songs and the cheering comp. I saw my cousin sing on stage!!! xD wahahahas. I couldn't hear him clearly though. xO *sing louder!* lol. Students were getting very high, especially the cheering comp people. Gratz to 201 of 2008 for winning the cheering comp for lower sec (champion). Nice class spirit. ^^ hehe. It rained halfway... but it didn't dampen our spirits. But instead, we managed to chase the rain away. lol. Figuratively though. hahas. After the celebrations, I had a special tuition class for SS from Ms Lim, while I practiced on a question, C & C on Northern Ireland. x)) Hehe. Thanks Ms Lim. Actually, I was quite dejected when I got back my papers. 2/13. Sigh. SS kills. My strategy now would be: Mi-Re-Do. Instead of Do-Re-Mi. =) Went back home and bathed after that, and I had to prepare for a trip to hospital myself and also for the CCKCC concert later, which I would be heading there straightaway after the hospital.
Speaking of hospital, don't worry. Nothing big happened. Small matter. =) It's the Dentistry Dept. of NUH. Gotta go there and re-adjust my retainers. Hoho. I went there and waited for some time before my doctor attended to me. I was quite early...around 10-12 minutes earlier. But the readjustment was so fast that it was over in 5 minutes. hehe. It was 1630 hrs. I quickly ran to the waiting area and queued up to board the shuttle bus back to Dover MRT Station. It was freaking long. I waited for exactly an HOUR!!! WTH! >=( I was obviously unhappy. When I had a chance to board the bus, I ran quickly and sat down, my heart racing. At Dover, I ran up the stairs, and arrived on the platform. A train arrived but it was sooooooooo crowded that I decided to wait for the next train, which was 5 mins away. I was exasperated.
Upon reaching CCK MRT STN, and walking to the bus-stop opposite Lot 1, my legs were turning jelly. Partly due to stress and dejection, while the other was due to the over-excitement of the upcoming performance. xD lol. I walked slowly, to CCKCC, while prodding past an overhead bridge, and some blocks of flats passing my eyes. Revise the "Reach Out for the Skies" again while walking.
I was among the first few people to arrive other than the girls who had to do their make-up. Soon, more and more people came. I saw my Mum's friend there, working as a waitress for the event. hahas. =) There were indeed thousands of them as the tables extended to the outsides of the CCKCC's hall. Whoa. xo
Night was almost falling. We made our way downstairs to a 'bomb shelter' to have our packed dinner. The whole alley was jammed at first but later cleared. I got a fright from Ms Lee when she shouted "EXCUSE ME" somewhat impatiently. lol. Our dinner was nasi lemak I think. It was alright though a little cold. ( can't be blamed ). We were quite packed, like sardines, for the room was so small. lols. Soon, Indian dancers from a school came in and we were squeezed even more! x( *ai yoh* hahas. =x
We had a lot of time in between, for our performance was scheduled quite far back. We had lots of fun downstairs, as in in the bomb shelter. lols. The boys had nothing better to do, and we started talking and chatting, then we went on to show off muscles... (you know who I am talking about...) lols. Zhao Heng got beaten by Arveen and yes, William was right. POM POM at work!!! ( Sec 3s and 4s will know I am talking about. hahas. ) Zhao Heng's face was totally red and he was so high. (He changed a lot, trust me. More matured? I don't know. xD) The Asean scholars were having a high time down there, arm wrestling. Oh my gosh. I almost fainted looking at how strong the boys were. lols.
Sidenote: Wh00ts! I could do
ONE VERTICAL PULL-UP with the help of BangWu!!! =D I could at least hold onto the pole and not drop down for about a few seconds. ^^ Accomplishment. Though small, but still great. =) Ok, I shan't show off. x)
The girls were doing their make-up and helping one another. Soon, they were done. People were chatting around, making the whole CD shelter freakingly noisy. >< lol. Mr Lee Seng Hai, our Principal, popped into the CD shelter, and we said Good Night Mr Lee. LOL. (Like he's turning in. lol). He was rather informal on that day I would say. We continued our rowdy ways after that. XD lawls. We practiced the dance steps in there and sang along as well. Basically, everyone was so HIGH HIGH HIGH man. lols.
Then came Hanis with his POWER. He challenged me to knock his knuckles. Sensing trouble, I didn't take up the challenge, but he offered another one---Smacking each others hands, together with the traditional "scissors-paper-stone". I was like, ok, shan't be a spoilsport. Challenged him. I think I was wrong to do that. Oh wells. First round commences. I lost in the scisoors-paper-stone games, and kena smacked by Hanis. Oh my tiaans lahh... Very pain lehhs. x( lols. I 'ren-ed' and took another smack. Oh goodness. My hand was like almost 'destroyed' by Hanis' "Xuan Ming Palm". lol. So painful. Withdrawn Withdrawn. Bua ta han. XO Jesheri ta han-ed about 5 rounds, then he withdrew. His hands also red liaos. My hand a little red also. >.<
Then Jiawen came innocently, asking Hanis to play with her. PIAK! WAHHHHHH!!! lols. Jiawen was like reeling back from the pain. lawls. Her hand instantly turned red. WA SEHS, Hanis. (OMG, power on the loose. XD) Poor Jiawen. lawls. Wanxin was scared also. lols. So funny. Everyone was like so scared of Hanis at that point of time. I played with someone... (Is it Joyce? As in her name. uhh... wells, never mind.) She was also freaking strong. PIAK PIAK PIAK! My left hand tekaned by her already. ><>< So painful. Played with some others too. Haha.
Finally, it's our turn to perform. Mr Lee took some pics and he said, "bluetooth....". I was like Wow! Mr Lee's high tech too! XD lols. We went on stage to perform... ya da ya da... After the performance, everyone was like discussing and complaining how bad the music was. Then Mr Lee came and said it was good. I was like, "What?! Good? We were faster than the piano by at least one measure, I think. (I'm not musically-inclined), and Mr Lee still said good?" lols. Thanks for the encouragement. ^^ But I think the audience didn't know that we went too fast, which was a good thing, but I think we should have better speed control next time. No more auto-pilot. >< Hahas. So the end of the performance marked the end of the day and everyone went home from there. Dismissed! =D
Honestly speaking, 08/08/08 was the best day I ever had. Seriously, the BEST day I ever had ever since Primary 4. 5 years... 5 years... Ah, finally, a fun day which got me so high!!! =D BP Choir rocks lah! Wh00ts!
Ok, 1 hour spent on blogging. Must get back to work. 11:52pm now. hoho. See you all next next week, and good luck to all for CT2! =D

Today... I can say I'm quite moody and I think I have just pissed someone off in class today, due to my bad mood. =(( Sorry, but I hope that you should respect my policy of handing in homework on time and not giving it to me earlier, unless you have very valid reasons and I do reserve the right to accept work only on the stipulated day itself, so I hope you do understand. Ai yoh.
I went to hand in the whole stack of SPA worksheets to Mr Thomas Lee and he had already rejected the work of quite a lot of people... so some poor students gotta redo their experiments. Good luck. This is due to the portfolio thingy... I don't wish to elaborate. =(
I lost part of my voice during astro last Wed while screaming at the kids and later gulping one whole can of cold carbonated drink, which gave me inflamed throat and a whooping cough. D= With Common Test coming in a week's time, I don't want to be coughing and affect my classmate's focus. Looks like I will need a microphone rather than a laptop when I do my lectures next time. Haha!
For choir today, I think, it was the most most most relaxing CCA session I have ever had. We just sang some National Day songs and played whacko. hoho. So fun. People were laughing their heads off while some were shouting loudly. lawls. Pretty fun day, except that my stupid sore voice spoiled my choir day.
Alright, have to go and do homework. Byes.

10:55 PM
Well, I'm back after being missing for such a long long time. I've been quite busy for the past few weeks, juggling with my homework and my CCAs. Talking about CCA... I think I shall comment about the choir concert that was just over last Saturday.
26/7
It was drizzling outside as I made my way to school to assemble. Honestly speaking, I felt a little uncomfortable wearing my 'home clothes' and report to school. Seriously, I was a first-timer. The rain was getting heavier as I rushed to school but fortunately, it ceased when I reached there.
There were not too many people at the Nexus campus--only a handful of boys and a group of girls. Soon, more and more people came and assembled. We soon hopped onto the bus, with sops and tenors into a bus, while the altos and basses in another. As usual, some people were late, but everything went on smoothly. At least for the part where we were going to depart and head of Nanyang Girls' High. =D
The bus ride was a little boring for me, except for the last part.. (we shall see later), as it was the same old route to Dunman Road. Actually, it was quite fast, down the expressway and we were closing on NYGHS. After half an hour or so, we reached NYGHS. I would have to admit that I fell in love with the serenity of the place upon reaching there... It's sooooooooo QuiET!. =) We dropped off outside the Siew May Auditorium. As I had said before, it was a serene place, so the place was silent. Everything was white practically, including the floor tiles, and in the middle, was a figure of Ong Teng Cheong's Wife, Mrs Ong Siew May, and some Chinese characters on it. Admist the white walls, there was a brown wooden door, leading to the auditorium.
We went into the auditorium and the grand sight of it took our breaths away. There were red colored seats and the lightings were beautiful, and these complemented the milky white background of the walls. Nice design! =D At first, I thought the things were made of 'ice'. lol. I'm so silly. xD
It was already 3 in the afternoon when we got there. We started off with our rehearsals, and basic things like warming up exercises, and revising on our songs, voice projection, etc. haha. I think we didn't put in much effort during the rehearsal there, and Mr Yong was pissed. We went out of tempo for quite a few times, and Mr Yong or Mrs On have to drag us back and disable 'auto-pilot', as quoted from Mrs On. LOL x) I saw the alumni there too (MUMMY! [:) lol, who were going to perform later in the night.
We ran through the whole show after a toilet break. For some parts, we stumbled. After running through the whole show, the pupils who were performing as a group stayed back to rehearse their songs while we had our lunch. The food was nice, and at last, no more McDonalds'. lols =) Thanks to the teachers and the school for the food. =) After filling our stomachs, we went into our dressing rooms and changed into our formal choir 'uniform' for the presentation of the 10 choral favourites. =D The whole of the dressing room was filled with chatterings and noise. hahas. The toilet in the dressing room is VERY VERY CLEAN!!! =DD I LOVE IT SEHS! ^^ No water on the floor. Complete dryness. =) Perfect. :)
It was soon 7.10pm. The boys put on their ties and went to the backstage to assemble and get ready to enter the stage on the stands. The girls put on make-up and it was really a 'sea of azure blue', as quoted from my friend. hahas. Well, the whole show only started close to 8pm as we had to wait for the VP to come. Obviously, they were late. xO
The curtains opened and the movie reel is executed. We sang and sang, song after song, while Mr Yong was conducting us, with Mrs On playing the piano. The sound from the grand piano was uber nice. xD hahas. Sometimes, Mrs On would conduct instead of Mr Yong. Strangely, as soon as we had gone up the stage, we sang all 10 songs, and were ready to for the intermission of 10 minutes.
After the curtain closed, we made our way back to the dressing room and changed into our 1960s clothings. lols. The boys started taking off their ties and belts as they rushed back into the room. After changing, we were back at the backstage again, waiting for the 'fun' moment. It soon came and it was awesome... like a party time on stage. People ain't themselves and transformed into Hairspray characters. =D After these, it was the end of the concert. Everyone cheered loudly and screamed. It was everyone's months of hard work and effort being put in and it finally paid off last Saturday. =) Congrats to all choir members. =) Wh00ts!
Oops, look like I have sacrificed my homework time for blogging, erm... well, so have to go, bye. =)

I think I will do a better job next time. I think it's horrible to mumble through a song like that... =( Haiish.
